Gorda Cafe in California

"If you can get over the prices in the menu and actually order, you must remember where you are. In no mans land...twilight zone. Very quaint ocean cafe the kind dear ole Grandpa took you too as a kid. A cup of coffee "French roast" will set you back nearly $4 clams. I decided on the salmon tostada with mango salsa and was surprised there were two on the plate. The salmon was cured and delicious, the lettuce was fresh but dry (washed)? The salsa well I don't know what it was I just set it aside. If they would have left the cold straight out of the can rosarita's I would be writing a different tune. Lets just say the song of the ocean was wasted on my plate.:'( Husband had the BBQ chicken looked good and he polished off his plate. I'd eat there again and tell them ixnay on the beansay. The service was good and the place packed but again don't forget your in the twilight zone:-) P.S.gas at the station is 6.84 good thing we were on a bike"

"Glad this place is here in Gorda for gas and snacks but it's all pretty pricey, but that's to be expected because of their location. This is the gas station and market that had some deli items to purchase to eat outside. The actual restaurant is the Whale watcher Cafe. I prefer the sit down restaurant and food at the Whale Cafe. Both places have restrooms."
